Amazing Opportunities

This past month we were able to take part in some really amazing opportunities! One of them was in the city of Siantar. We were asked to speak in a seminar called. “Save One More for Jesus”. Teaching how each one of us in our busy lifestyle can take the time out to reach out to one person to bring them to Jesus.. and how precious and effective that is! At the end of the day I asked those who were willing to make a commitment for the gospel to come to the front to pray together.. It was an absolutely beautiful moment to stand with all those who came to the front. They were singing from their hearts.. and tears running down their faces.

I listened to them sing a song about how our desire is for the world to experience this love that we have in Jesus.. I was so touched and so full of joy to see to be a part of that!!

Another wonderful opportunity was presented to us in a village near PadangSidempuan. Not only is the name long.. so is the drive! Haha.. about 14 hours travel. But it was worth it! One village had asked for help with their young people. Many problems were quickly spreading and destroying the youth people there.. including suicide. Through night services and day seminars we shared the one thing we knew could change the lives of those young people:… God’s Love. Sooooo many received Jesus each night!! It was a great time! Lives changed. Hope found. Purpose discovered… Jesus revealed! And I decided to make use of a wonderful opportunity that is given to me every year.. Idul Fitri. The biggest Muslim celebration after Ramadan, the month of fasting is over. Every year I’m usually traveling or somewhere else during this time. So this year I purposefully turned down invitations to travel so that I could celebrate this holiday with my Muslim friends and neighbors. The first house I went to was my friend Elis.

She sells fried food on a stand on the side of the street. I met her about 2 years ago. I have always promised to go to her house.. but never had the time. So I made the time. It meant the world to her! I also got to go and visit some other friends and neighbors.. building up a better relationship with them.. it was sooo much fun! There was so many other little amazing things that happened. For example one night we went to do hospital visits. The very 1st bed we went to was a young woman about my age who was very ill. The team had met her the week before and had prayed for her. She had received Jesus as her Lord that day. But that night when I met her, her parents were there. So we shared with them. And they also decided they wanted to receive Jesus! As I prayed with them the mother began to cry and hug me.. Jesus was really touching them! After that we moved to many other beds praying with all the people. Then we came across a Muslim family but they also accepted us to pray for their mother. She sincerely listened to all as we explained Jesus through the Bible and the Koran. We had a wonderful time with her. But then continued on to the next bed.. however as I was with the next patient I looked back to see her already sitting up in her bed watching us! She was already obviously feeling so much better!! Jesus is so great!Right now I’m in the most southern and eastern city of Indonesia.. almost on the border of Papua New Guinea. We are very excited to work together with the locals here. Even though it is blazing hot! Hahaha..There’s so much happening in the next two months.. I really appreciate your prayers!!Jesus is sooooooo awesome!!!Susan Joyradio.jpg
