An Update from Prison
I know I usually send out my updates at the beginning of each month.. but something so special just happened today .. So I wanted to share it with you now, instead of waiting.
This morning, like every Wednesday morning I went to the prison. Last week a new girl had come in so we decided this morning to start off with testimonies and simply sharing God’s love with them. It was such a beautiful time. And the new girl, whose name is Egy received Jesus into her life!Â

After praying together and enjoying the love of God, which was almost like a tangible presence, one of the women began to testify. She said she was actually glad for being in the prison! Because it was in prison that she finally met God! She was actually glad that she spent a year there because it was the best thing that ever happened to her!
After that Egy shared that for the first time in her life she had started reading the Bible since she’d been put in prison. Then she said she’d found a verse that made her happy… she read it to us. It was Rom 10:14. At first I was confused.. why did that verse make her happy? Then she explained.. ‘this is you.. without you we would never be able to call out to God or believe on Him. Because we’d never heard of it. But because you come here and tell us about Jesus now we can!… thank you so much!â€.. All the women there were agreeing with her as the tears rolled down their faces and they began to hug us and thank us.. for what? For telling them about Jesus!!! Sooooooo precious!
