History in the Making is Happening!

So…… what happened in Namorambe??  Did we make history??

Well.. not only was it a history making event in that area as the first ever event like that… but it was also making history in my books; as the most excited I have ever seen a crowd to receive the good news!

Both nights after I preached the gospel and prayed with the people to receive Jesus there was an EXPLOSION OF JOY!!!

The second night as I prayed with them I asked them all to repeat it with me. And as we ended it I had the crowd repeat “Terima kasih Yesus” (Thank you Jesus) three times. On the third time their voices thundered it out so loud and it was like everything instantly changed in the field! And they didn’t want to go home! They danced, jumped, shouted, sang and rejoiced until I had to force them all to go home at 11pm!!!

This was not a crowd of church going people.. this was a crowd mostly of young people.. many from the Muslim religion who are so often trying to fill the emptiness in their lives with something.. We used dramas and testimonies as well.. and watched as the people didn’t leave.. but stood captivated and some even cried as the truth was proclaimed. We preached such a simple message. Jesus is the answer!!  There is an eternal love.. already ready and waiting for you. That’s a great reason to get happy… very happy!

Some of the government leaders attended and as they watched their eyes teared up to see this happen to their youth! We worked together with the Muslim youth, the local gangsters, everyone.. but there was no problems.. just the biggest celebration they had ever seen!!

Before the event even started the local pastor shared with us that the impact was already changing everything. Because of this event he said his church had now finally become “a church without walls”. What he never thought was possible began to happen.

Muslim youth came into his church and practised together with his youth group to prepare for the event. Before he even saw the big crowds at the event he sat down and asked God.. “what can I do after this event?? This must continue on!!”

We will continue to work with him.. and the other locals to make sure this does continue on.. This is not just an event. ….

This is History in the Making… This is a Gospel Youth Revolution!

I included many pictures because they can tell more than words.. and a video (please watch because the pictures cannot capture the real size of the crowd or the excitement that filled the place that night)

Thank you for making it possible to change history!
